Masks at Tondogosso

The preschool carnival (below) was greatly inspired by the Bobo and Bwa masks who "show up" for special occasions. Here is an exemple during a "dry" funeral ceremony wich takes place about once a year in the villages. Here, we are at Tondogosso, just near Bobo Dioulasso, on April, 7th 2013.

The masks are supported in their dancing by drums and an enthusiastic audience.

You can watch a video on the French page.

Preschool Carnival

The preschool students carnival allowed the children to create beautiful masks wich you can still find in the classrooms.

April 18, 2013. These masks can't be seen anymore in the classrooms, but you may find them in the "Visual arts" gallery. A click on the mask beside will lead you there.

During the carnival, the CM2 students displayed their paintings of masks on the terraces opposite the library (CDI).

Very soon, the video of the carnival will be seen on this page.
